Bex Hogan will be reading her new children's book 'Bronte Tempestra and the Lightning Steeds,' for ages 7+. We will also be hosting a 'Make Your Own Firecat' crafts activity.
As her knights prove pretty useless at defending the kingdom, the fearless titular princess of this rich and riotous new fantasy series has her hands full fighting off all kinds of creatures from bare-bottomed gnomes to spooky zombits.

Join Bex Hogan in Storm Kingdom and get ready for a fun-filled fantasy quest starring an unforgettable new hero – Bronte Tempestra! The first ever princess to become a knight!
You will:
- listen to a reading from the brand new book
- create your own special firecat character
- get to know Bronte and how author Bex Hogan has put a spin on the traditional idea of princess and knights
Interactive and fun, the event lasts 40 minutes and includes a Q&A with the author.
Recommended ages 7 – 10.
Parents accompanying their children do not require a ticket.
One accompanying adult per child with ticket.
Raised on a healthy diet of fantasy and fairy tales, Bex Hogan has spent much of her life lost in daydreams. Writing her stories down was a natural progression and now she enjoys sharing her time between living in the real world and escaping to her imagination. A Cornish girl at heart, Bex now lives in Cambridgeshire with her beautiful family. Bronte Tepmestra is her first fantasy middle grade series.
